Beginning Student Visa Application for the USA

This is really happening!!

I have started the process for requesting a student visa to move to the States next year.

Just yesterday I received an e-mail confirmation from Fuqua’s Admissions Office confirming that they received correctly my tuition deposit ($,3000 for Early Action applicants) and the official transcript. In this e-mail there were instructions for accessing an online web application to start this process.

Now I have to fill in a lot of paperwork. One of the important things to keep in mind is that to be able to ask for a student visa, one must be able to show that has enough fundings (including tuition and living expenses) for the first year, in case of a 2 year MBA program.

In my next post I will talk about the 2 most common student visas: F-1 and J-1.
